What are anti ageing injections?
Anti-ageing injections deliver a purified protein that temporarily relaxes the facial muscles in order to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. They can be injected in many areas around the face, including the following areas: the forehead, around the eyes and between the brows. There are other areas that can be treated, such as in the chin (to prevent an “orange peel” look), the underarms (to reduce excessive sweating) and the nose (for bunny lines). With the right amount injected in the correct place the muscles will have a relaxed appearance leaving you with a youthful look, but still allowing for natural movement.
How do anti-ageing injections work?
Anti-Ageing Injections work by blocking the communication between the brain and the injected muscles. Without this interaction the muscles lay dormant and therefore relax those lines that cause the appearance of wrinkles. After a few months the effects slowly begin to face and those muscles become active once again. This does then mean that typically after a couple of months the lines begin to form again. However, do to the incredible results we see clients time after time for their fine line fix.
What to expect during your appointment?
Before your treatment we will access your muscle movement and strength. This will allow us to identify where and how much anti-ageing will be needed to maximise the desired result. The injections are incredibly small and cause almost no pain at all. Some have described it as feeling like popping a spot, so very tolerable. A precise amount of the product is then carefully injected into each area for maximum and lasting results. The entire procedure takes roughly 15-20 minutes.
How long do anti-ageing injections last?
Visible results have been shown to last up to 4 months. Your own results may vary, with some individuals having great results longer than others. There are things you can do to try and prolong the effects of the treatment. All of which your consultant will explain during your visit and accessing the level of treatment required.
